Government announces launch of ‘SUVIDHA’ – Rs. 2.50, 100% Oxo-biodegradable Sanitary Napkin – under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP)

The affordable sanitary napkin will be available for Rs. 2.50 per padat over 3200 Janaushadhi Kendrasacross India and would ensure ‘Swachhta, Swasthya and Suvidha’for the underprivileged Women of India. This step taken by the Department of Pharmaceuticals will ensure the achievement of Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Affordable and Quality Healthcare for All, the Minister said while addressing the media.

3.Get information about Scheme of Grant-In-Aid to Voluntary Organisations Working for the Welfare of Scheduled Tribes (ST) by Ministry of Tribal Affairs. 4. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students was launched in the year 2007-08 and is dedicated to meritorious ST students. The Scheme is funded by the Central government. This scheme is applicable for meritorious ST students who are pursing studies at Degree and Post Graduate level. ST students can avail this scheme by contacting educational institutions and Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

SAVINGS SCHEME FOR SENIOR CITIZENS BY THE GOVERNMENT


An ideal scheme for senior citizens and for those who have retired either from service, to provide security in old age.

An individual who has attained the age of 60 year or above on the date of opening of an account or an individual who has attained the age of 55 years or more but less than 60 years and has retired under superannuation or otherwise.

A retired Personnel of Defence Services (Excluding Civilian Defence Employees), who has attained the age of 50 years can also subscribe to the scheme subject to fulfilment of other specified conditions.
A depositor may open an account individually or jointly with spouse.

The deposit in the account shall be in the multiples of 1000/- and not exceeding Rs. 15 lakh.
Interest shall be payable from the date of deposit to 31st march/ 30th June/ 30th September/ 31st December on 1st working day of April/July/October/January as the case may be, in the first instance and thereafter, interest shall be payable on 1st working day of April/July/October/January on quarterly basis.

Current Rate of Interest Payable.

The account can be closed after expiry of 5 year from the date of opening of account.
The depositor may extend the account for further period of 3 years.
Premature closure is permissible after expiry of one year from the date of opening account subject to certain conditions.
Deposits in SCSS qualify for deduction u/s 80-C of Income Tax Act.

POST OFFICE SAVING ACCOUNT


Introductory:

Saving account for petty saving and receiving transactions.


A person may open the account in his own name individually or jointly with an adult person.

A person may open the account on behalf of minor of whom he is the guardian or a person of unsound mind

A minor who has attained the age of 10 year may open the account independently.

Zero balance account for beneficiaries of MNREGA and otherGovt. Schemes.

Current Rate of Interest Payable.

Interest earned up to Rs. 10,000 in a financial year qualify for deduction from Income under section 80TTA of Income Tax Act.

Small Savings Scheme through BANK OF BARODA ( e-KISAN VIKAS PATRA)

In compliance to Government of India policy making Small Savings Schemes available
to investors through branches of authorised commercial banks, e-Kisan Vikas Patra
was launched by Bank of Baroda in New Delhi on 16th August, 2018. The facility of eKisan Vikas Patra is also available with Union Bank of India and Axis Bank. E-KVP will

For the Welfare of your GIRL CHILD (Sukanya Samridhi Yojana)


Sukanya Samriddhi Account has has been introduced vide Government of India Notification No. G.S.R.863(E) dated December 02, 2014 and circulated to Banks by Reserve Bank of India vide their letter No.RBI/2014-15/494/IDMD(DGBA).CDD/No.4052/15.02.006/2014-15 dated 11th March 2015. Facility to open accounts under the scheme is now available at all SBI branches.

Objective: To promote the welfare of Girl Child

Who can open the account: A natural/ legal guardian on behalf of a girl child

Maximum number of accounts: Upto two girl children or three in case of twin girls as second birth or the first birth itself results in three girl children

Minimum and Maximum Amount of Deposit: Min.1000 of initial deposit with multiple of one hundred rupees thereafter with annual ceiling of Rs.150000 in a financial year

Tenure of the Deposit: 21 years from the date of opening of the account

Maximum period upto which deposits can be made: 15 years from the date of opening of the account.
