Why PM Launched PMGKY 2020?

As you know there is a 21-day lockdown in India, during this lock-down time, the biggest concern was the rationing of people. Although people are fully supporting the government by staying in their homes, it was also seen that people are forced to leave the house to get ration.
This time looked even more frightening for the poor people of the country who lived through difficult times because it is difficult to earn an income due to the lockdown. At that time people were waiting for the government.

What is the Benefit of PM Garib Kalyan Yojana 2020?

There are so many benefits for the people who are below the poverty line. Through this scheme, the poor of the country will be helped by both money and food. This plan will run for the next three months. Food will be provided for 80 crore families under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana.
As you may be aware, the government already provides 5 kg of wheat/rice to the economically weaker sections. Under this scheme, every beneficiary poor person will get 5 kg of wheat/rice every month (for the next three months) in addition to this and at the same time, 1 kg of pulses will be given to every poor family.

PMGKY Online Form

No Online Form has been announced yet. The money will be transferred to the accounts of the poor through direct transfer. But if the government launches an official website, we will let you know. No official information on the PMGKY Online Form has been reported on the site yet.

Key Point of PM Garib Kalyan Yojana

Those involved in the field of medicine, who are putting their lives against Pandemic, will be given life insurance of 50 lakhs. The Finance Minister announced farmers, MNREGA labourers, poor widows, poor disabled and poor pensioners, Jan Dhan Yojana, beneficiaries of Ujjwala, women from self-help groups, organized sector workers and people working in construction.
Elderly, Divyang and widows will get one thousand rupees in two instalments for three months. This will benefit three crore people. Beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will be given free cylinders for three months. This will benefit about eight crore beneficiaries.
Mahila Jan Dhan’s account holders will be given an amount of Rs 500 per month for 3 months. About 20 crore women will get benefit from this. The questions given below can be asked in the exam such as UPSC, SSC, Bank, and Railway.

Public Grievances Redressal is one of the flagship initiatives for the reformation in governance started by the Indian central government through addressing the grievances of general public. It was created in June 2007 by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances.
